Where these questions come from

Every question here was written for this site from the same official handbook material your chapters are built on — none of it is copied from any other test-prep website. Each exam draws its 24 questions from a shared pool spread across all five chapters, so retaking "Exam 7" always gives you the same 24 questions, but different exam numbers mix things up differently. Your scores are saved only on this device.

How the real Life in the UK test works

The real test has 24 multiple-choice questions. You get 45 minutes and need 18 correct (75%) to pass. The questions come from the five chapters of the official handbook: values and principles, the UK and its nations, history, modern society, and democracy and law. Every mock exam on this page follows that format.

Each exam has its own page that lists all 24 questions, so you can read them through first or jump straight into the timed version. A good routine is to revise a chapter, sit two or three mocks, review every answer you missed, then keep going until you score well above 18 every time.

Passing the test is one requirement for most ILR and British citizenship applications. Planning your timeline? Use the ILR & citizenship date checker to find your earliest dates and track absences from the UK.
